Nitecore SC2 is the ultimate charger for use with IMR cells
and has a host of unique features, sure to be a favourite with Vapers!
With a total output of 5A the SC2 can charge a battery at up
to 3A current in a single slot, this means it only needs one and a half hours
to fully charge a 3000mAh Li-ion battery.
The SC2 can automatically select the best charging current
based on the battery capacity detection, in addition the current can also be
selected manually from 3, 2, 1 and 0.5A.
IMR cells have very low internal resistance and may be
overcharged with regular Li-ion chargers. To combat this problem, the SC2
incorporates an optimised IMR charging system that is able to monitor the
entire charging process, ensuring the voltage is always within safe limits,
which in turn helps extend battery life.
Another useful feature of the SC2 is the ability to restore
IMR cells. Upon insertion of an over discharged IMR battery, all eight LEDs
will blink to indicate it is not ready for charging. By pressing and holding
the button over the slot the charger will enter recovery mode. Should the
battery fail to recover after several attempts it should be disposed of safely.
